ADM (Mat) or the Materiel Group is the organization within the Department of National Defence that is responsible for the procurement and management of materiel - the supplies needed to keep a functioning military at work, from trucks and tanks to boots and rations.

ISSP Update for Industry (January 2010)
In keeping with our commitment to keep Industry informed on the current ‘way ahead’ for ISSP, the Project is pleased to provide the following information:
As previously announced, the ISSP system will include three interoperable variants known as Commander, Assaulter and Supporter. The industry proposed integrated soldier systems will be evaluated and integrated through three definition and implementation Cycles. The ISSP system in each Cycle will incorporate enhanced levels of sophistication, capacity and interoperability from the previous version. Read more

Contract for Chinooks Strengthens CF Abilities at Home and Abroad
A contract valued at approximately $1.2 billion for the purchase of 15 Chinook helicopters for the Canadian Forces has been awarded to the Boeing Company. The announcement was made on August 10, 2009 at a press conference in Halifax, N.S., by the Hon. Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway, and the Hon.
