MOSID  00362 - Army Communication & Information Systems Specialist (ACISS)

General Duties:

The function of the Army Communication & Information Systems Specialist (ACISS) occupation is to provide communications in tactical and strategic operations. In the tactical environment, ACISS personnel are responsible for the control, configuration, and management of combat net radios and fibre optic links. In both the tactical and strategic environment, they are responsible for the operation, management, and administration of national information systems, gateway sites and satellite ground terminals that comprise the National Command Control and Information System.

Additionally, in both environments, the ACISS personnel operate, administer, manage, and control Communication Security (COMSEC) and Information Technology Security (ITSEC) postures and information systems networks.
