2. A GENERAL ELECTION IN NUNAVUT HAS BEEN CALLED WITH ORDINARY POLLING DAY ON 30 OCT 17

3. MEMBERS OF THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) AND THEIR DEPENDANTS VOTE PURSUANT TO ORDINARY CIVILIAN VOTING RULES AS CONTAINED IN THE NUNAVUT ELECTIONS ACT.  UNDER THIS ACT, IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN A POLLING DIVISION OF A TERRITORIAL ELECTORAL DISTRICT, A PERSON MUST:

A. BE A CANADIAN CITIZEN,

B. BE 18 YEARS OLD OR MORE ON ELECTION DAY

C. HAVE BEEN ORDINARILY RESIDENT OF NUNAVUT FOR A CONSECUTIVE PERIOD OF AT LEAST 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO ELECTION DAY, AND

D. ON ELECTION DAY, BE AN ORDINARILY RESIDENT IN A NUNAVUT CONSTITUENCY

4. A PERSON IS CONSIDERED ORDINARILY RESIDENT IN THE CONSTITUENCY WHERE THE PERSON HAS HIS OR HER PRINCIPAL OR ONLY RESIDENCE, HOME OR DWELLING PLACE TO WHICH, WHEN THE PERSON IS ABSENT, HE OR SHE INTENDS TO RETURN

5. AT THIS LATE DATE, MEMBERS OF THE CAF AND THEIR DEPENDANTS WILL BE ABLE TO VOTE IN ACCORDANCE WITH EMERGENCY VOTING PROCEDURES AVAILABLE BY CALLING 1-800-267-4394

6. IN ORDER TO APPLY TO VOTE BY A TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICE, YOU MUST BE ON THE NUNAVUT VOTERS LIST

7. IT IS THE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY OF MEMBERS OF THE CAF AND THEIR DEPENDANTS TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE REGISTERED AND THAT THEIR NAMES ARE INCLUDED IN THE PROPER POLLING DIVISION LIST, IF THEY QUALIFY.
