Aircrew Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Ensemble

Replace Existing Systems

To provide improved CBRN protection to ensure survival of deployed Tactical Aviation and Maritime Helicopter aircrew and enhance their ability to operate in a CBRN environment.

The new CBRN ensemble will be composed of protective clothing, respirators, filter cannisters and ancilliary equipment. The ensemble must provide reduced weight, improved aircrew comfort and ease to operate within constricted cockpit environments. As rotary wing aircrew operate in close proximity to friendly forces, the new system must provide sufficient protection for aircrew to continue expeditionary operations in the future CBRN environment.
