DAG 2016 – Aerospace Systems Services

Fighter Lead-in Training

Information: New Proposal

For DAG 2016

Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

To find a relevant, flexible, effective and affordable means of implementing and optimizing fighter conversion training for new winged graduates to meet Canadian Armed Forces fighter pilot training objectives.

The project should ensure a seamless transition with existing pilot training programs and have an agile and flexible production level to meet the future needs of the Fighter force. Risk will be managed and control of pilot production will be maintained by the RCAF. The training must meet the unique challenges of the Canadian environment, adapt and optimize to meet future requirements, exploit technical advances to maintain relevance, maximize simulation and emulation to create efficiencies and provide value for Canada. All training options are being considered from DND acquisition and sustainment; DND acquisition with Industry sustainment to full Industry service contract.
