Information: New Proposal

For DAG 2016

Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

To provide suited footwear which is task oriented and appropriate to all-weather working conditions, in domestic and deployed operations for Aircrew and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Ground Support personnel.

The Aircrew boot selection will be comprised of predominantly non-safety footwear pattern boots compatible with RCAF aircraft and ground support duties. Will comply with Canadian Air Force airworthiness standards and specifications. Ground support personnel will require non-safety footwear to perform general purpose duties, general military training, and task oriented duties that may demand enhancement footwear including safety footwear. All footwear models must be light weight, breathable, high in comfort, durable and appropriate for the temperature conditions. Must provide appropriate protection and support. A general pattern boot that is common with other elements is desirable.
