Long Range Air-to-Air Missile

Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

Objective

To acquire a long range air-to-air missile for the Fighter capability.

Requirements

An advanced long range missile will ensure Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fighter aircraft maintain the ability to employ weapons in contested environments of the future. The weapon must be compatible with the chosen replacement fighter for the CF-188. It must be interoperable with our Allies in both NORAD and Coalition operations.
