Objective

The Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) in Support of Command and Control will transform and enhance the Command & Control and supporting Communication & Information Systems environments in order to address identified deficiencies and position the Department of National Defence and Cananadian Armed Force for future capabilities. Deliverables include the following: Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), which will implement coordinated ITSM processes across the department; Implement Integrated Network Services, which will transform the department’s ITI to a more modular and flexible approach; Optimize Integrated Information Infrastructure, which will modernize and replace legacy systems to leverage new and emerging technologies; Cross Domain Solutions, which will implement capabilities to allow information with various classifications to securely share common ITI; Network Convergence, resulting in a reduction in overall infrastructure; and Enable Interoperability, including improved information sharing internally and externally to the department.
