Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System


The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Enhancement project will provide the necessary equipment to enable the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM). This project will build upon and enhance existing capabilities and will allow CANSOFCOM to sustain and force generate for its mandated CBRNE support tasks.


The CBRNE Enhancement Project will procure systems currently in use, as well as invest in opportunities that will provide enhancement over the next several years. This initiative will leverage existing agreements with Defence Research and Development Canada, the Directorate of CBRN Defence and Operational Support, as well as other DND organizations and international partners to acauire capabilities in the fields of CBRN surveillance, identification, decontamination and CBRN medical.
