Information: New Proposal

For DAG 2016

Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

The Individual Protection Ensemble Next Generation ( IPE (NG)) project will provide CAF personnel with improved protection against CBRN warfare agents and toxic industrial materials/chemicals that may be encountered in the area of operation, while improving the soldier’s operational effectiveness by reducing the physiological burdens imposed by current IPE.

The IPE (NG) project will procure CBRN protective ensembles (not including respirators) that will provide dermal protection against both traditional and non-traditional chemical warfare agents, biological hazards, and toxic industrial materials/chemicals that may be encountered during operations across a spectrum of scenarios and climatic conditions. The intent is to overcome the current physiological burdens imposed by the current ensemble with a system that provides adequate protection while increasing operational effectiveness.
