Information: New Proposal

For DAG 2016

Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

To procure and install a large scale acoustic resonance mixer.

Purchase and installation of a Resonant Acoustic Mixer. This equipment is capable of mixing highly viscous mixtures (including solid / solid mixtures) in very short times, with the capabilities of doing so under vacuum and with heating and / or cooling. It does so using resonant acoustic vibrations and thus requires no agitation with blades or through tumbling. This type of mixing would be required to mix large- scale explosive mixtures for testing of large scale novel explosive systems, and is vital for the furtherance of the Scalability and Advanced warhead concepts work breakdown elements (WBE) of Land Weapon Systems (LWS).
