Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

Objective

To support the Future Naval Training System Strategy by modernizing the Royal Canadian Navy's system of training for individual, fleet collective, and operational training. The System of Training and Operational Readiness Modernization project will ensure optimal use of methodologies, technologies and infrastructures to meet requirements in the most cost effective manner.

Requirements

The project will modify and deliver training technologies to assist with the material implementation of a holistic Naval Training Strategy that aims to modernize training management, development and delivery. Training effectiveness in support of operational readiness is to be ensured while minimizing overall training costs. This will be achieved by modernizing and consolidating training technologies, increasing coordination of ashore and fleet training systems and implementing sustainment strategies that ensure the training capabilities delivered evolve to maintain effectiveness and affordability over time.
