Naval Minewarfare Countermeasures Support Craft

Replace Existing Systems with Newer or Different System

Objective

To transport and deploy Clearance Diving teams operating Naval Mine Countermeasures (NMCM) systems, and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) outside of visual range of a support ship or shore facility.

Requirements

The Naval Mine Countermeasures Support Craft project will deliver deployable specially equipped Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boats designed to carry a Clearance Diving Team and/or deploy NMCM UUVs with sensor packages and disposal systems, and to operate outside of visual range of any launching facility. This support craft will be deployable up to 25 NM from a support ship or shore facility in a Sea Mine Threat Area. This support craft will include navigation, communications and radar sensors and be capable of deploying and recovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, Remotely Operated Vehicles and Expendable Mine Disposal Systems. This project will also address spares, training and Technical Data Package. The project will be fully capable of operation in littoral waters in extreme weather conditions.
