DAG 2016 – Services

Halifax-Class Shipyard Contract-West

Information: New Proposal

For DAG 2016

In-Service Support

Objective

The Halifax-Class Shipyard Contract - West (HCSC-West) will establish a coastal in-service support contract implementing new capabilities and performing maintenance (corrective and preventative) for the five West Coast Halifax-Class Ships. This service is to be provided as-and-when required. This service may be extended to other class vessels when requested by the Canadian Armed Forces on a case by case basis.

Requirements

The Halifax-Class Modernization/Frigate Life Extension (HCM/FELEX) Project is currently transitioning ships to “In-Service” with the last ship to be completed by Jan 2018. The Halifax-Class Multi-Ship Contract (MSC West) that was in place for implementing HCM/FELEX project scope will end in 2018. This new contract will employ a competitive procurement strategy to continue supporting Halifax-Class implementation of new capabilities and maintenance. The intent is to have contract cover the requirement through end-of-life.
