Paul Hindo – Biography

CFLC Ontario Chair

Paul Hindo was born in Iraq and immigrated to Montréal with his family in 1972.

Paul is currently with Nautical Lands Group. He has spent the last 30 years in the Commercial Real Estate sector, where he held various Senior Management positions, including Senior Managing Director with Cushman & Wakefield in Ottawa, Senior Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield LePage in Ottawa, and Manager of Royal LePage Commercial Investment Division in Montreal.

Paul has had extensive involvement in various public and community organizations. He was the inaugural Chair of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, has served as Founding Director of the SCO Health Service Foundation and remains an honorary life Director, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Royal Ottawa Health Care Group 2004 to 2006, Vice-Chair of Cancer Ontario (CCO) in 2000 and served on that board from 1997 to 2006, Director of Ottawa Economic Development Corporation (OED) from 1999 to 2001. OED was amalgamated with the Ottawa Centre for Research Innovation (OCRI). Paul served as a director of OCRI from 2001 to 2009.

Paul is currently serving as Ontario Provincial Chair for Canadian Forces Liaison Council, as well as Governor of the Community Foundation of Ottawa, Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, Ottawa Peace Camp, Director of the Conference of Defense Association Institute (CDA), and was appointed as Honourary Colonel of the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa in 2009.Paul is a proud member of Canada Company- many ways to serve.

Paul obtained his Bachelor of Education from McGill University in 1980.

Paul is married and has two children. He enjoys golf, music and skiing.

  • Awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
  • Commander Land Force Command Commendation from the Army Commander inFebruary 2011.
  • HCol of Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa.
  • Silver Award winner for “Businessman of the Year” 2006 by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
  • Entered "Canadian Who’s Who" in 1997.
  • Chosen by Ottawa Business Magazine as one of Ottawa’s top 40 business leaders under the age of 40.
  • Canadian Declaration Medal for Services with the Black Watch, Royal Highland Regiment of Canada (retired in 1992 with the rank of Captain).
