Accessing Care

Alert: Help us stop the spread of infection in our health clinic

If you have any of the following, on presenting to the clinic, please perform hand hygiene, put on a mask and tell the receptionist or nurse immediately.

Fever PLUS one or more of the following:

  1. Cough
  2. Shortness of breath
  3. Trouble breathing
  4. Rash
  5. Diarrhea
  6. Vomiting
  7. In the last 21 days you have been in contact with another person with a disease that you believe can be transmitted from one person to another, for example Measles, Chicken Pox, Rubella (German Measles), Influenza (including “bird flu”), Norwalk Virus infection
  8. You have travelled within the last 21 days to areas other than the United States, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.

Upon arriving at the clinic, report to your CDU on level 4. If you do not have a CDU, report to the main reception area on level 3.

Sick Parade

Patients may present to sick parade, without an appointment, for an assessment of their acute health concern.

Only report to sick parade if your symptoms or concerns are less than 48 hours in duration and your medical condition interferes with your ability to perform your daily work.

Clinic Hours

  • Monday to Friday 0730 to 1530
  • Walk-in Services (Day Treatment Unit), located on the 3rd Floor, Mon-Fri 0730-1500hrs.
  • CLOSED: Saturday and Sunday and Statutory Holidays
  • Psychosocial "Walk-In" services are open from 0800 to 1200 Monday to Friday
  • Orderly Room:
    • 0730 to 1530 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
    • 0730 to 1300 - Wednesday

Medical Screenings

CAF members who require medical screening for short notice operational taskings, shall contact his/her designated CDU as soon as possible.

If screening is required during silent hours (e.g. DART deployment), contact the CF H Svcs C (O) Duty Officer at 613-355-3498.
