Colonel Jason Kenny, Commander, Air Task Force-Iraq, Operation IMPACT

Colonel Jason Kenny: How many was that?

Oh, hi! I’m Colonel Jason Kenny. I’m the Commander of the Air Task Force for Operation IMPACT, and I’m here today to take the “60 Second Challenge”.

And I can just start? Alright.

1. Do you get nervous, why, and how do you overcome the nerves?

Yes, I do get nervous. I get nervous for a variety of reasons, particularly when I’m in front of a camera. And how do I overcome it? I go back to my training.

2. What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about my family, and about flying.

3. What do you miss most about being away from Canada?

That would have to be my family.

4. Sens, Leafs, Oilers, Flames or Habs?

That’s a tough question. If I have to pick a Canadian team, it’s Sens. If it’s any team, it’s the Bruins.

I think I might have ripped one here. I guess I didn’t want to do that one.

5. Name the comfort you enjoy most about Canada, here on Op IMPACT.

I enjoy the Wi-Fi so I can actually speak to my family in the evenings.

6. Who are the unsung heroes of your organization?

I think the men and women who maintain our aircraft and support operations are the unsung heroes of our operation.

And that’s it, thank you.
