Proof of Concept Shelter built by the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI)

Baseline Shelters similar to the one in the photograph will be acquired in 5 variants and used in 32 applications within Regular and Reserve units of the Canadian Forces.  Most will have a power generating plant and Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) system and will provide stand-alone capability for crucial support services such as medical, dental, workshops, and command post.  Having integral power generation capability and an HVAC system will provide flexibility in transporting such resources by land, air and sea.  Most shelters will be mounted on the back of trucks being acquired by the Medium Support Vehicle System (MSVS) Project.
