The Department of National Defence (DND) will form part of the Government of Canada’s delegation attending the Defence Security and Equipment International (DSEi) exhibition in London, U.K., from September 10-13, 2013. In conjunction with the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries and other Government of Canada partners, DND will contribute to an exciting and informative series of presentations, events and discussions hosted at the Canada Pavilion, including:

  • Outlook on Canadian Defence Procurement - Join John Turner, DND’s Assistant Deputy Minister (Materiel), as he briefs on DND’s current and upcoming major equipment programs.  
    Wednesday, September 11 from 10:15 – 11:00 GMT
  • Government of Canada Procurement Process – Join Wendy Gilmour, DND’s Director General International and Industry Programs, and representatives from Public Works and Government Services Canada and Industry Canada as they lay out the roles and responsibilities for defence procurement in Canada.
    Tuesday, September 10 from 13:00 – 13:45 GMT
  • DND Support to Canadian Defence Industry Exports - Join Wendy Gilmour, DND’s Director General International and Industry Programs, for a brief on DND support to defence exports from Canada.
    Thursday, September 12 from 13:45 – 14:15 GMT

DSEi is the world’s largest fully integrated defence and security exhibition, bringing together nearly 30,000 visitors and exhibitors to showcase the latest equipment and systems, develop international relationships, and generate new business opportunities.
