Let me just start by saying that I never write in about anything I rarely even write Christmas cards because let's be hones I'm a guy. So this comes from the heart. I'm a floor manager at the the 911 centre in Vancouver Ecomm here up to 80,000 calls a month come in on average(dont worry i did have some help). We recently handled the second Stanley cup riot hockey riot this year the first being in 1994. Only in Canada eh!! hahaha Anyway I have 11 years expierence in Emergency services and the words I write are hard to come by in my industry. We just wanted to let you hero's know how proud we at the 911 centre are of all you over there. You might let the word hero pass without too much thought but you really are. I don't think enough people stop to think about all the lives saved and terror attacks that have been averted by having Canada's finest over in Afghanistan. Not to mention all that you have done for the people of Afghanistan. Anyone that has the guts to step off the plane to do the noble work that that NEEDS to be done over there has my respect and admiration for life. I think most lives would be complete to have such an admirable chapter in it such as the what you folks are doing over there. Whenever a casualty is mentioned in the news our hearts and flags are lowered. So with that being said keep safe and be as proud of yourselves as we are of you. All the very best wishes, Marc Joseph McAdam marcmcadam@hotmail.com

Hope some of you will enjoy this.... In Your Colours In all this world that circles me...there is no place so fine to see...as full and tall as the mountains...that roll and fall to the shores...that wined below...and the land that sprawls from high to low...glows a honey gold...and in between a wilderness dream...of greys and green...of rocks and trees by rivers and streams...a place of spirits so adventurous and bold...that canoed in teams to open and hold...this shielded ground... a place of trial and legend...I call as a town...my own...no space atop so blue...as a summer's walk I took with you...no space that sounds a peace as found...in waterfalls...no trace of space as white so bright...and air so light...that reigns on both sea and sky...that men could find their way...by the stars that lie...no trace of line... a compass drew...of ground so true...so strange a wonder of land that joined...the old with the new...that on this earthly globe...would sit a crown upon head...as adventurous and bold as you...your jewels the Northern Lights...and on your royal shoulders... a sprinkled cloak o snow...and tempered air...Oh Canada so sweet...your name...born of such refrain...that in your colours...I will forever wane... Greetings, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your service. I enjoy so many freedoms today because of the Royal Canadian Forces both past and present. While sometimes it may be extremely hard and you will face situations many of us cannot even imagine, you can trust in the fact that you are making a difference. Thank you again for your selfless act in protecting our wonderful nation. As I pray for our military I am reminded that you are never alone. May you have many moments of laughter and feel appreciated today while you serve. Sincerely, Starla

I just wanted to write a short note to all our brave women and men in the Canadian forces. I am sitting in my social class and it always dawns on me that there are evil people in the world. I thank you for your protection and the protection of innocent citizens where ever you are. God Bless, Rhianne
