I am honoured to know each day men and women like yourselves are ready to answer the call of your country to serve either at home, in Canada or in countries far away from love ones. You do this without questioned your orders or the fear you must feel. My father served in UNEF 1 with RCEME, I served with the Coast Guard and my son serves in the RCAF. I know that we need not only remember you on Remembrance Day, but every day I awaken I thank you for doing what many do not. The words LEST WE FORGET is not a call to arms but guidance from all who have served, that do not forget so that it may never happen again. Safe travels, be proud and above all know you are loved in a world that may not seem lovely.

Thank you for your service overseas, I think many people don't realize truly how much you sacrifice in order to protect Canada. As a member of a military family I know what it's like and I truly appreciate that you put in your best effort even though you are hundreds of miles from home. I understand that it is a complex conflict with many obstacles to clear solutions...but you are each trying your best to do the right thing. I personally want to thank you for risking your personal welfare in an attempt to win freedom for others that we as Canadians enjoy...which was won at great loss and hardship as well.
