Dear Troops, the commitment to the forces has been soo far important to me than the ring on a finger and I know that all soldiers should be very proud to serve in the canadian army as I am even though I havent't yet served overseas, Kabul, Haiti etc...

Hope some of you will enjoy this.... In Your Colours In all this world that circles me...there is no place so fine to see...as full and tall as the mountains...that roll and fall to the shores...that wined below...and the land that sprawls from high to low...glows a honey gold...and in between a wilderness dream...of greys and green...of rocks and trees by rivers and streams...a place of spirits so adventurous and bold...that canoed in teams to open and hold...this shielded ground... a place of trial and legend...I call as a town...my own...no space atop so blue...as a summer's walk I took with you...no space that sounds a peace as found...in waterfalls...no trace of space as white so bright...and air so light...that reigns on both sea and sky...that men could find their way...by the stars that lie...no trace of line... a compass drew...of ground so true...so strange a wonder of land that joined...the old with the new...that on this earthly globe...would sit a crown upon head...as adventurous and bold as you...your jewels the Northern Lights...and on your royal shoulders... a sprinkled cloak o snow...and tempered air...Oh Canada so sweet...your name...born of such refrain...that in your colours...I will forever wane... Greetings, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your service. I enjoy so many freedoms today because of the Royal Canadian Forces both past and present. While sometimes it may be extremely hard and you will face situations many of us cannot even imagine, you can trust in the fact that you are making a difference. Thank you again for your selfless act in protecting our wonderful nation. As I pray for our military I am reminded that you are never alone. May you have many moments of laughter and feel appreciated today while you serve. Sincerely, Starla

Thank you for the courage you demonstrate in serving our country nationally and abroad. I have read books written by those who served in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan. It has given me such an appreciation and admiration for our troops. I am always moved deeply when I see the army tanks roll by in our Stampede Parade. God bless you and your families. May God strengthen you and protect you. May God grant you success in your mission.

I don't know how I should feel about the politics and reasons behind this war. ( Much to my teachers dismay) I also do not have the answer of how to stop the war and bring world peace. One thing i do know, is that life is sacred, both yours and mine and the people you are protecting in your placements. Thank you for doing your part in finding peace. I admire your strength and courage, and look forward to the day all our loved ones can come home. God Bless. Rhianne

As a proud citizen of Canada I may not always agree with the operations our troops are sent on. However, I believe 100% in our troops being an international force for security and peace. Allowing our dedicated soldiers to give other people abroad a chance to achieve the peace and prosperity you secure for us in Canada.

As always, continue to do your duty, maintain your honour, and return safely to us.
