Based in Léogâne, Haiti, 1 Canadian Field Hospital provides Role 2 Enhanced to all members of the surrounding communities. Role 2 Enhanced is hospital-level care, complete with most services such as a laboratory, x-ray imaging, a pharmacy and dental services, medical care similar to what Canadians receive at home.As part of the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) engineering section, Sergeant Rodney Tatchell from 4 Engineers Support Regiment (4 ESR) makes Jacmel, Haiti a much better place to live by removing the rubble left behind by an earthquake on 12 Jan 2010. Canadian Forces (CF) members carry orphans from a CF Griffon helicopter at the Port-au-Prince Airport in Haiti. The orphans were in the process of being adopted by Canadian families at the time of the earthquake. The CF helped transport the orphans from Jacmel to Port-au-Prince using Griffon helicopter number CH-146450 as part of their long journey to Canada.
