DND and CF are committed to supporting and enhancing the quality of life of the military community, thereby contributing to the operational readiness and effectiveness of the CF.

The Directorate General Personnel and Family Support Services (DGPFSS) develops and delivers a wide variety of Personnel and Family Support Services to members of the Canadian Forces (CF) and their families. Programs and services include: CANEX, SISIP Financial Services, deployment support and family services, health promotion programs, mess and newspaper operations, and physical fitness and recreation programs.
